A Special Thank You for All Essential Employees
As a “thank you” to all of you who are working on the front lines of this difficult situation, Bark&Zoom will continue to offer a 25% discount* to all essential workers who bring their pups in while they work. We are here to keep you pets happy and safe, through daycare and overnight boarding, as a way to lessen your stress.
COVID-19 Guidelines
We also wanted to let you know the things that we’re doing to follow CDC and City of Austin guidelines:
- Staff guidelines:
- We maintain proper social distancing within the facilities among staff members.
- All employees wear masks at all times
- Every staff member has their temperature taken and complete a signed symptom report before each shift
- Curbside pickup and drop-off. For the foreseeable future, only Bark&Zoom Pack members are allowed in our building
- We do allow food and medicine to be brought in with the pet, but all items brought in are cleaned before they enter our front doors.
- Increasing our cleaning and sanitation protocols:
- We use a cleanser called Rescue that kills all types of virus, bacteria, and other infectious diseases.
- We clean the entrance doors and all surfaces and floors within the front of the building multiple times a day.
- We have continued the normal cleaning processes in the back kennel, but we also have done multiple deep cleanings there from top to bottom.
- We have a large supply of gloves, masks, and cleaners for everyone.
We appreciate all of you and like you, will continue to keep the health of our staff, clients, and pets as our top priority.
Thank you,

Dear Bark&Zoom Pet Parents,
As you know, the health and well-being of your pet is our top priority. As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, we are monitoring the situation closely.
We’re open, but for the safety of both of Pet Parents and our Pack Members, our lobby is closed until further notice. Bark&Zoom is open & available 24/7 boarding, daycare and grooming reservations — just by way of curbside services.
When you call, us to make a reservation, we will be requesting care instructions via phone. Please be prepared to share feeding and/or medication information, play package selection, and grooming details if necessary. For those with existing reservations, we’ll call you two days before your scheduled arrival. Then a Pack Member will be awaiting you on your scheduled dropoff or pickup date.
Please call or text Bark&Zoom with any questions — or if a Pack Member is not outside waiting for you upon arrival. (You can also ring our doorbell!)
For curbside pickup, please also call or text when you arrive at our facility so that we can bring your pet out to your car. Pickups may take a bit longer, so we appreciate your patience as we get your furry friend ready to see you after their time with us.
Please Note:
- Call or text us if an employee is not outside upon your arrival
- Expect a call 2 days prior to boarding to review your pet’s care instructions
- Please have pets leashed for our hosts, to assist in entering and exiting the building safely
If you have any questions, please feel free to call, text or email us.

Dear Bark&Zoom Family,
The health and well-being of your pet is, and always has been, our top priority. As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, we are monitoring the situation closely and working tirelessly to ensure we continue providing the best possible service to Pet Parents and the pets we passionately care for every day.
Bark&Zoom remains open. We are following all guidelines and information provided by the CDC, WHO and local authorities. Our teams are also taking additional measures to ensure our cleaning and hygiene protocols are extremely thorough, including:
- Increasing the frequency of pet hotel cleaning and sanitation (including lobby, work stations, door knobs, restrooms, etc.)
- Continuing the use of our pet-safe hospital-grade disinfectant
While the CDC and other health authorities have indicated that dogs, cats, and other domestic animals are not considered at risk for contracting or carrying COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of all humans within our facilities— notably our customers and staff. As an added safeguard, we suggest that the team and Pet Parents wash their hands with soap and water after contact with pets.
If you are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms and have an upcoming reservation for your pet, we kindly ask that you work with us or someone who can help bring your pet into our facility for you. You may contact our resort by phone, text, or email.
At this time, we will not be charging any change or cancellation fees on reservations made. If you need to update your travel plans, please reach out to us and we’ll happily put your deposit on your account as a credit towards a future stay.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. It is truly a privilege to care for your pets and we are honored to do so during difficult times. We look forward to seeing you and your pet soon,
Your Bark&Zoom Team.
